Marigold for the balcony

One plant always surprises me - the marigold. If you cut back its flowers regularly, it will bloom from spring to autumn. It is also an eye-catcher on every plate because its flowers are edible. Even when dried, they retain their color and shine all year round, right into the next garden season.

A beautiful variety with peach-colored flowers and chocolate-brown centers is "Bronze Beauty." What makes them special are their long stems, which make them the perfect cut flowers. Marigolds bloom particularly quickly: they open their calyxes after just two months.

Sowing: indoors from February-August, outside from March-August, Cool Flower - requires cold stimulus to germinate.

Basically, everything that you can plant in the garden also grows in large soil pots on the balcony - with good soil, lots of sun and sufficient care. The varieties that I have put together under the abbreviation “For the Balcony” are a little less dainty and will delight you with great flowering even in less space. They are perfect for smaller pots or balcony boxes.
