Hardly any other plant is as easy to care for and tasty as nasturtium. If you have a desolate spot on the balcony, sow them right there. Give her something to climb and let yourself be surprised.
The variety " Milkmaid" is an almost white nasturtium that quickly develops long shoots and many flowers. It is an uncomplicated climbing plant that is edible and enhances any salad both visually and in terms of taste. It's not just the flowers that are edible. The stem and leaves also taste good - slightly spicy, with a delicate mustard note.
The variety "Salmon Gleam" bears numerous large, semi-double flowers in salmon and peach on its long shoots. A dream in the garden like in a vase. It grows rapidly and all parts are edible.
Nasturtiums are perfect for beginners. Their flowering period is extended by regular pruning.
Contents: approx. 15 seeds
Height: 150cm
Sowing: indoors: March, outdoors: May
Basically, everything that you can plant in the garden also grows in large soil pots on the balcony - with good soil, lots of sun and sufficient care. The varieties that I have put together under the abbreviation “For the Balcony” are a little less dainty and will delight you with great flowering even in less space. They are perfect for smaller pots or balcony boxes.
